Is investing in stock market shares only for the
wealthy?
Investing in the stock market is possible regardless
of your budget.
Rule No. 1: not being compelled to recover money that is invested for short-term needs, since being pressured to sell can generate losses. There is no minimum amount, other than the price at which a share is bought if you have only bought one.
To get started, you could for example buy three ADIDAS shares (corresponding brands: Reebok, Taylor Made…), listed at €89.25 (value at closing on 02/10/2016). It will cost you €267.75 plus €1.95 for example for the market order, so €269.70 altogether.
Market orders (whether for buying or selling), and particularly those of our partners, have considerably dropped in recent years.
When I open an online account with a broker, I don’t have to deposit money into it right away. This allows me to do some research first and to only invest when I’m ready to.

Is investing on the stock market reserved to experts?
For sophisticated financial products (warrants,
deferred settlement system, by-products, etc.), the answer is yes.
But the answer is no for simple products such as shares, as long as you follow a few rules:
– Never put all your eggs in the same basket, and invest in several placements chosen from different sectors in order to diversify your risks.
– All the same, limit your amount of value lines, so as to optimize your stock market fees (for example, 2 to 5 value lines is a good start).
– Remember that selling 1 or 10 shares from a same company will cost the same price (a “value line”).
– Take interest in strong brands you like. Though you may not be a financial expert, you’re a consumer and/or an informed connoisseur of strong brands. Remember that a brand’s notoriety stems from exemplary management (the best products or services) generating better financial performances than its competitors, and therefore better share prices.
– Our broker partners’ web sites are clear and concise. Over time, they will also teach you about purely financial aspects.

What does it mean to be a shareholder of the company
that owns your favorite brand?
A company’s capital is made up of a given number of
shares (our broker partners will provide this information). For example, if a company’s capital is made up of
1,000,000 shares and you own 10 of them, you own 1/100,000th of the company.
How can I find out which listed company owns the
brand I'm interested in?
Allbrands.markets provides a search engine that gives
an inventory of all the brand/listed company pairings in the world.
You will have seen the search engine on our home page, but you will also see it appear on all of the web site’s main pages.
It’s very convenient and user-friendly, and works like Google: when you type the first few letters of the brand name you are looking for, a drop-down menu appears and lets you click on the corresponding brand.
If a brand doesn’t appear, it means the company that owns it is not listed on the stock market. This has become quite rare in the 21st century, but it can happen (Rolex, for example).
